Kala Ghoda, India

The Art Festival Of India - Kala Ghoda
The art and architectural legacy of Mumbai was diminishing with the advent of urbanization. Kala Ghoda Arts association was formed to save the rich and cultural heritage of Mumbai. To spread the awareness about the same and make it a popular topic around the city, the association started hosting an annual arts festival. This art festival includes various activities such as, sculptural installations, dance and music shows, panel discussions on current topics, culinary arts and a lot more.
Kala Goda Arts Festival is hosted every year in February for 9 days on a street of kala ghoda region in south Mumbai. Art and culture go hand in hand, this is clearly reflected in this festival.  Kala Ghoda Arts Festival has gained worldwide popularity in last few years. It is considered India’s largest art festival. It is the entire Mumbai summed up on a street. With the glamour of Bollywood stars, the new philosophies of design firms, the mouth-watering dishes from chefs, and the insights from authors, architects and archeologists, make kala ghoda a must visit on our list.
This year KGAF is virtual from 6th to 14th February. You can go on www.kalaghodaassociation.com (hyperlink) to view this year’s festival schedule and participate in it from the comfort of your home. Stay home Stay safe Stay artistic!
