The depth of it is 26 inches, comparatively more, as the channels are installed on top and bottom of horizontal planes. The width of the wardrobes should at least be 84 inches such that it can have minimum 2 sliders of its half. Each door should not exceed 48 inches otherwise it would weigh heavy.
Slider doors are preferred over the hinged to save the space occupied by the doors when opened outward.
