Annoying Traits Of Architects

Annoying Traits Of Architects

We all have this image of architects as poised and ideal professionals until you encounter with one. These creative and sensible professionals have entangled their professional life with their private one so much, that the non-architects around them encounter with their bizarre life choices.

We love our architect friends and tolerate them through all their annoying traits. Let’s find out how many of these can you tick it off the list.

1.      They know-it-all. Of course, duh!

2.      Feeling proud of sleeplessness

3.      Always demanding coffee

Coffee can solve design problems and make the clients bearable.

4.      Infuriating love for stationery

Moleskine, Staedtler!

5.      Talking about columns, capitals and ceilings during a social gathering or even on a date.

6.      Remembering a place by its architectural faults or amazing tiny detail

7.      Complaining about the clients

8.      Spending hours searching for the right fonts and color

That perfect font and that perfect color which looks good after I print out my final design

9.      Misplacing the tools, the same day it is bought.

.......but I just got my measuring tape today

10.      Terrible time management skills

11.      Overestimating the work that can be done in a day

Of course, I can complete the bathroom detail and staircase detail and all the presentation drawings today. It’s no biggie!

12.      Referring to star architects by their first name or even worse, nicknames

Louis would have understood the design of my skyscraper! I wish he was here.

13.      Being star struck by famous buildings and Bjarke Ingels

No Khan, no Kardashian but Koolhaas’s CCTV Headquarters!

14.      Finding the model making material all over even after it’s been a day that the work is complete

How can I still have polystyrene in my hair? What is it? Tape on my toe!

15.      Saving the files as FINAL

Share it with the architects that you know and have a conversation with them over a cup of coffee, definitely about ARCHITECTURE!
